Yes, now Hyper-v supports Linux OS. This can be achieved by “Linux Integration Components”.
It contains support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2, (x86/x64), SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86/x64) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2/5.3 (x86/x64).
The supported Distributions of Linux OS are:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (5.2, x86/x64)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (5.3, x86/x64)
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86/x64)
Linux Integration Components:
The Linux Integration Components (Linux IC’s) provide synthetic device support to certain distributions of Linux
running in a Hyper-V virtual machine. This includes a port of VMBus to supported Linux distributions,
as well as drivers to support the synthetic network adapter and synthetic storage controller.
