Error while opening Mssql 2005 management studio
MMC could not create the snap-in.
MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly.

Fix
Run the following command as shown to fix this. Make sure you have installed the Msql in the path as shown or change it accordingly.
Run -> C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\binn>regsvr32 sqldmo.dll
Database showing ’0 items’ in MsSQL mgmt studio
If a working database shows no items then
1. MsSQL mgmt studio -> Right click the database -> Bring it to offline
2. Now bring it back to online after some time. the database will show all the items.
Problem in connecting database using Microsoft SQL server management studio.
1. In connection dialog box -> Connection properties -> Connect to database -> Change to “master”
2. Once this is performed, try connecting to the database again.
